Well i went to get photos of the new huckmonkey team..

It was all good, but i forgot my tripod so i couldent mount my flash's so i decided to put the flash on the camera.
Rider comes down, does 1/2 a 360 and throws the bike,
It comes flinging off and hits me right in the face and arm, (i was looking through the camera at this point).

I fell backwards and looked down my flash which had been mounted on the camera was lying injured on the floor.
bits of metal and stuff everywhere..
I think ive managed to salvage it. in the future i will only be able to use it on a Tripod, but oh well!

A quick question to all the people who get media passes.
Ive been accepted into the Media Area on a website for the Freeze event in london, I had to apply, but now ive been let in.. Does this mean i have a media pass and i can just turn up? or will i have to e-mail them and ask if i can have one.

Cheers
Tom

Unlucky bud, sounds nasty. I hope you weren't too bashed up. I thought riding was meant to be more dangerous than photography!!

Unlucky, I've not had a bad one yet but I saw someone with a video camera have a tailwhip catch on their lens, so they got a bloody eye.

As for the second part, check the website to see if they say anything about a reply confirming your place, if they don't say anything then you probably have got the pass.
