As for helmets, I don't give a shit, it's the riders choice.[/quote
Well of course it is.
The point is that in taking photos of riders who aren't wearing helmets will lead young 'uns into think it's cool.
people who don't wear helmets are noobs.
Go ahead and take photos of people not wearing helmets, but don't publish them on the internet!!!!! _________________ "I have nothing to declare, except my genius."

They might think it's cool, they might think it's stupid, they might also think that the 20ft huck that they saw in the mag was cool, don their full face and try it only to break their neck.
I'm sorry, I just don't wear rose tinted glasses but I always wear a helmet.
I totally see your point, but I also see mine too, I apologise. I won't post any more pictures of helmetless riders on here, I already try to remove helmetless riders from any pics I send into mags, but they will still go up on my site becuase I choose to show the full story there.
i dont mind you posting pics without riders wearing lids here, cause it doesnt have the usage yet to make an impact, but i will inforce that once freewheel gets bigger... _________________ Ride like you have insurance.
I think Roo's right, there will always be riders that don't where helmets i don't think that will change through the actions of photographers. It's like saying that we shouldn't publish photos of big drops because people who have just started riding will think it's easy and go off them?
I see your points (and i almost always wear a lid) but at the same time it's just everyones personal choice (the rider in the photo and the new riders), some get lucky while some may be stupid enough to just have to learn the hard way .
I try and reshoot photos that don't have lids in them but where that's not atall possible i don't think we should restrain from publishing them ifw we love the photo. Espeacially where we're hardly reaching mass media. _________________ www.watfordriders.co.uk
i think that also, because this a photography forum, peopel will look at the photography, not the rider and him not having a lid, so it not a big issue imo _________________ Ride like you have insurance.
bollo0x
big drops or what ever doesnt have any bearing on lid/ni lid wearing!
protect yourself and promote it.photograhpers have a lot to do with it.if you say i'm not shooting you unless you wear a lid, they have the choice.
bmx was taken over by the no lid brigade in the late ninetiees and its wrong _________________ ride it like you stole it

Sorry but that's utter shite!
If you were a new rider and you saw a 20ft huck photo and thought it looked cool, went and found a 20ft huck it's unlikely you would actually send it if you saw it for yourself because it's fookin scary.
Wearing a lid, however, is not at all scary. You wouldn't be pooping yourself more going off a 20ft huck without a lid than with a lid.
So a new rider isn't likely to copy a 20ft huck but it's pretty likely they'll copy good riders who aren't wearing a lid.
I expect theres quite a few people that browse on here, many of whom are young and new rider due to it's strong links with SF which in turn has (as far as I know) mainly younger users that have come over from MBUK. _________________ "I have nothing to declare, except my genius."
But i simply think that if someone is easily influenced enough to not wear a lid because some idiot rider in a photo isn't then they will almost always be influenced against wearing a lid as let's face it there will always be people who say it's not cool.
They have to learn for themselves. And like Ad says if it was a riding forum it may be different but it's a photography forum so shouldn't matter. I should be able to post an amazing photo of a crap rider on a crap bike and it shouldn't matter what he looks like the photo should be looked at. _________________ www.watfordriders.co.uk

It isn't utter shite because it's happened before (in the states with the example i'm thinking of; I'm sure there have been similar ones over here) not with a 20ft drop, that was just an example.
I've already said i'm not going to post any more pics with lidless riders on here.
