It's always best to try and track the rider as they move. That way they are more likely to stay sharp. It'd likely improve things. You need a really fast shutter speed to freeze the rider if you're not tracking them and it's not going to happen in those lighting conditions, particularly when the light is soft.
I'm not at all keen on that pic, however. The background is way too busy and distracting. I see your idea with the framing but the rider is pretty much the last thing you notice after all those trees and branches. _________________ Hamish |

i took it from above the video camera as i was filming at the time .i set it up witha fisheye(video) and used the ladder above and the trees either side to frame the shot and thought id see if i could get a pic at the same time.
thanks for your comments dude _________________ ride it like you stole it |

I particularly like the whole framing - not bad at all for a shot whilst filming. Another cool angle would be to get in the hole between the lip and downramp of that hip - that would look bril with a wide angle. _________________

thourough critique:
like: semi-like framing, you captured the trick well, nice general idea, like how you made center composition work too
however: trees are distracting, lacks sharpness, framingwise, you have too much ladder, specially with no bottom frame, either have less ladder in shot, or have something at bottom i think.
with a camera phone i have no idea how adjustabel it is, and how well it can retain sharpness, so i cant help you too mucch im afraid _________________ Ride like you have insurance.

considering it was done with a camera phone whilst filming I'd say it's bloody good!!!! _________________ "I have nothing to declare, except my genius." |
