I got a D70s!!!!!!

Fiiiinally, I got my hands on a dslr

I now got a D70s kit, which is the D70s body with a the Nikor AF-S DX ED 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 G IF also, I got a B & W circ polariser filter, and a Nikon SB-600 flash

I just got it today and will hopefully have it all setup by tomoz so i can start using it Very Happy

Good choice, although you wouldn't have one wrong with a D50.

I actually had a brief shot on a D70s today when I bought an SB-600. It feels quite nice, a little bit more substantial than a D50, and the extra external controls would definitely be useful.

It still felt small with a tiny viewfinder compared to the D200 but you can't get everything.

Look forward to seeing some pictures from it soon.

i now know how to use it and stuff

but what just wondering rouhgly how many stops the polariser will account for? I think someone said before but i forgot, soz, lol

also, i still relatively new to photography, so could someone link me to a page explaining stops and stuff, lol, thnx

just play around , thats wat i did , learn for you self , its more fun and you get to know the camera better , faster

It's an SLR - all metering is through the lens so the camera will take the polariser into account. It'll only become a problem if you can't get the shutter speed you're after with it on.

And seeing as you asked about stops.. well here's the zone system explained:
