white balance when shooting mtb

hi

when shooting mtbing, do any of you play with white balance, to give warmer tones or whatever? cause I now know how to use white balance for non-mtb stuff, just never tried palying with it when shooting mountain biking.

so do you use it? or leave on auto? or leave on whatever the weather suits and leave it there for the whole time?

thnx

well when im shooting i usually put it on either the cloudy or daylight presets of ma compact, just helps get more clarity and realistic colours for me!

hope that helps

I usually use cloudy or flash white balance, but then fine tuning can be so easily done if you shoot in RAW.

I shoot jpeg so it's more of an issue for me, I'm usually set to cloudy +1 on my camera, but you have to make a choice whether you are going to try and get the white balance right to the ambient light or flash, I tend to trya dn get the flash colour right, it means the background often is a bit warmer in my pics.

I usually have it in auto. But soometimes i use cloudy and other times i use a preset meausre thing.

I like for most of my photos involving people to appear slightly warmer than daylight so I will shoot at 5600k and if I feel the need, I will boost it slightly in the raw editor.
