WaitingI shot this a few months ago, but it seems appropriate, given the hot and humid weather we've had lately. My wife and I went mountain biking last week and got eaten alive by the mosquitos and ticks. We may do a road ride tomorrow just to get out. In the meantime, our shoes sit waiting to be used.

Ugh no the feeling... haven't been out on a proper ride in ages....
I'm gonna be in bad shape for the alps!!

I hadn't been out all week as I have been suffering from back pain. Finally managed 25 miles today, and although it was uncomfortable and I didn't enjoy it much, I now feel much better and I think it did me the world of good.
However, why do you and your wife have three shoes each?

Two pairs are mine. The pair in back are my road shoes and the pair in the middle are my mtb shoes. The front pair are my wife's mtb shoes, but they've never seen the dirt. She keeps platforms on her Stumpjumper and rides the spuds on her road bike.
We didn't get to ride today either. Rained most of the day. But I did get to shoot some photos though; digital and 35mm.

Shame on you all. I've had some cracking rides recently. Yesterdays' full day of uplift was too much fun - the camera never made it out the car. Fecking knackered today though.
I'll save you the shot of a rather muddy pair of Sam Hills in my shed beside the never used SPD shoes and try and take some pics on Wed's ride if the weather is kind.
