Some more UrbexJust an assortment of some recent photos.
Firstly, Odeon North End. Opened in 1936, classic example of Art Deco Cinema. Always was an Odeon for the whole 72 years it was open.
Self portrait:
Screen 4:
Projector Room for Screens 2 & 3:
Screen 1:
Lobby:
Next up, a few from Time & Envy Nightclub:
Offices for Luminar Leisure PLC:
Bengeo Quarry:
These steps were pretty scary, they creaked pretty badly when I walked back up them. But it was the only way back down.
And finally, the oldest of the recent ones, Southampton Central Health Clinic and Ambulance Station:
Woo, I need to find more sites. [/img]

A really interesting selection of pics there! Strangely depressing though Is this something to do with work then?
The 4th from bottom (with the chair) is probably my fave one.

Work? Nah, just a hobby.
Would love to get paid to shoot this kinda stuff, but it would take the fun out of it. Half the fun is the infiltration.

look up witley wonder, that's not far. I've never been but it looks incredible...
Also, on the road that loops dunsfold, there is a command bunker you can go in, it's only got about 3 rooms but it's underground, you have to slide into a black hole to go in Usually a bit flooded so you get your feet wet.

Witley wonder looks crazy!
There are all the old bunkers around fleet area in the woods.
I really want to photograph some of this crazy stuff!

in the photo of screen 1 can you see the point of... entry?
or was that there when you go there
|

Haha, no... That's just a tear in the screen that was already there.
Our entry point was very interesting to say the least. Nigh on impossible to spot and very physically demanding to use. No breaking and entering though, that's the golden rule. If there isn't a way in then don't make one.

It's good to see that people still have fun in life!!
I like the first self portrait, especially the way you look mildly interested with what you are 'watching'. The empty Stella & vodka bottle with the cigarettes is a good shot too - there's quite a lot in it/that could be said about it. The quarry ones have to be the best though. (IMO) Nice work there fella. Maybe we should set up a special 'run down places' PotM one day!

Where have I seen that first pic before Roo?

I dunno? I don't think I've posted it before, but could have...

Not on here, somewhere else. I've definitely seen it before though, possibly on Derelict Places as part of a site report... I remember it because I saw the gloves and thought that person must ride.
Seems to be a strong positive correlation between riders and Urban Explorers!

I like the mood/atmosphere of the second shot - or the lack thereof!

I hope not, I didn't post it if so...!
I only have a passing interest, if were out riding and see something, we'll take a look, but we never look up places to go or go someone just to look.

I used to live in Kent as a teenager and we used to go down to the old derelict St Augustine's mental hospital. One of the weirdest places I have ever visited. From the maximum security cells underneath to the patients' artwork which was still on the walls to the outhouses with paperwork protesting against electro shock therapy it provoked strange feelings.
Since I got into photography and have visited sites like guerilla photography I've often wished I had taken a camera in with me.
The place now apparently is a housing estate. It should have been a museum.

That's the website of a mate of mine!
And Roo, I definitely saw it somewhere... I'll try and find it for you.
