right, i might get a bit confused on teh terminolgy, lol

i think i want a slave flash? where i can mount my SB-600 on a tripod, and have it work with my cam but wireless, so no cables..

i've heard of 'pocket wizards', do i want these? how much do they cost roughly?

and finally, will it all work with my setup (D70s and SB-600)?

but you could just use commander modewith the pop-up flash to operate your sb-600 remotely

You can use the on board flash to trigger the sensor on the side of your SB-600 (read the SB-600 manual as well as the D70s one!!!) and can have the flash contributing to the exposure or not contributing.
