PotM 30: October (PotY Round 4)The theme for this month is 'Race'. Submit a shot which you feel sums up the theme or simply fits in well.
Just to remind you, any entry shot after the theme was announced (i.e. in response to the theme) will gain an extra 15 points in the Photographer of the Year comp. We trust you are mature enough not to cheat!
The closing date will be Friday the 25th of September.
N.B: Could you please attatch the code of your photo with it when you submit your entry as this will make my life a lot easier when it comes to sorting out the voting.

No problem- it finally worked!
This is about the only 'Race' image i have and as you can see its a little old, but relevent with the Olympics coming up. This was the last race at Eastway mountain bike circuit in London and i came third from last! This was me cleaning my bike up after the race.
This track has been demolished to make way for the Olympic stadium (progress? Hope so!) and thats my reason for it being sepia. Rose tinted glasses you might say!

Found this one from the beginning of the year which i think kinda fits the bill. Although it wasnt an official race with timers, numbers or a big audience, it was a wager between friends (you can guess who won, but only because the checkered rider slipped a pedal!).
This is the kind of race i (and everyone else) would be most familiar with. The prize? A beer in the pub afterwards!
So which one should i use? This one or Eastway?

Aah the nostalgia! I'd say you should stick with the first one - I like the story behind it!
I'd say the second one for Ben too - though I do like the first a lot!
