PotM 12: OctoberI hate labelling this as 'october' as it makes me feel like summer's already over when we never really had one...
Anyway, this months theme is Downhill. So those of you blessed with going to fort bill (the downhill is set to be tommorrow at time of writing) should have a large stock. But that doesn't mean to say that a world champs shot is a winning shot! Submit yer best doonhill shot noo...
N.B: Could you please attatch the code of your photo with it when you submit your entry as this will make my life a lot easier when it comes to sorting out the voting.

Lovely shot. Thought it was the Alps. The clue was in the break bumps...

It was taken on the run down from Pleney to Morzine.
The braking bumps were evil in some places, and they were especially annoying on the day I took this shot, as it was p*ssing it down, and mega slippery.
Thanks for all the positive comments!

I thought that was the Pleney VTT run. I remember those bumps and the mud. I think I was there the same time as you. They were only surpassed by the braking bumps in Les Gets, particularly on the Chavannes run and the end of LG2. They were even less fun when they dried up and hardened. My hands were shredded by the end of the holiday with more micropore over burst blisters than skin. Can't wait to go back as the conditions have got to be better.
Nice pic, too.

Here's one from my only ever day's shooting DH. I kind of like the concentration and poise:

Nice one, Hamish. You've got to admit that shooting DH is great!

JAW - I'm not fussy. I'll shoot anything.
BTW I do actually ride DH as well, albeit very badly.

Yeah, good to have a variety of shots in your portfolio. If you're bad at DH like me, you can only improve!

Yeah, certainly. That does represent downhill well! (though 'down' seems a bit of an understatement.)

Sorry jacob dude... I'm with Jedi on this one.
The whole Lycra thing has to be stamped out.
We can all make a difference by not taking pictures of the stuff to start with lol

Sorry, i've posted this so late and haven't got round to setting up the voting yet; i haven't had the time recently, but will set it up soon.
Anyway, this picture sums up DH for me, especially this year!
