Noise! So, what kind of music do you like listening to? (if any)
Also what's you favourite genre? I know there are a lot of crossing boundries and sub genres but just pick one which generally suits you most.
I like a bit of everything though there are a lot of songs i don't like, mostly from the r&b and pop genres. My favourites include Guns n Roses, Foo Fighters, Lost Prophets, Feeder, Sum 41, Bon Jovi, AC/DC and Rise Against. (probably a few i missed too).

Yeah Rage Against are class but Rise Against are one of my long running faves (first heard of em when watching the collective back in '04.) As for the punk and metal, i thought that could go under rock, but if you really want i could add them as sep catergories.

I definately can't pin it down to one type, I have different songs for different times, e.g. when you've ridden for 30miles in the dark hours of early morning on empty straight dual carridgeway, with another 70 miles to go, you need something a bit different to keep mashing the pedals:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SRQuc-Hq94&feature=related
Same for when your sitting for 11 hours in a car driving from South East England to North West Scotland, for that the soundtrack to les Miserables works pretty well, a story and music...
Then for a day at the dirt jumps, got to be:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbEbUAqdldY
On the way home from the trails (an incredible song if you can get past the screaming):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=325VrIVSQbk&feature=related
And then just chilling out at home:

I often find I like long tracks, I guess because I often ride or drive long distances and that's when I usually listen to music. The last CD I bought is pushing it though, the shortest track is quater of an hour long, and the longest is double that

I'll put it this way... the most recent gigs I've been to have been folk music - some traditional and one with folkies and beatbox. Before that the last few were Muse, Pixies, REM, Zutons & Green Day IIRC.
I pretty much like anything other than pure pop, R&B or dance music that requires you to take drugs to be able to tolerate it.

I like such a mix these days, I used to be a complete prog-metal head but that's changed the last few years. Nowadays I listen to rock, metal, old skool hiphop, funk, drum and bass, techno variations... Etc
This is a recent fave, kinda trance/techno remixed by a guy who does trance with a very punk based influence/background. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8h5cEgPN7Sk
When it comes to riding though I prefer stuff thats a lot more laid back. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mt3vZHDiM8
Oh, and nothing like a little bit of Opeth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j-r7kQRrBE

J5 aren't quite putting out the stuff that they first did:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=AZmQIGLNxBs&feature=related
but I still enjoy listening to them. Bear in mind that I'm closer to jedi's age than the rest of you and the sort of hip-hop/rap I used to listen to was this:
