Dartford Bridge

A shot i got at the Dartford bridge a few weeks ago. C&C appreciated as usual:

Hamish

If it wasn't for the annoying pylons and lamposts, and if there were more traffic trails then you'd have a cracker.

Cheers for the feedback. I reckon that the pylons kind of add to it though. I did get a shot with better light trails, but unfortunately it was blurry.

I agree with Hamish. I think it would be better without the pylons. Good effort though.

Shots like that are always so difficult to get though. Here's one of mine from Stratford Station facing Canary Wharf one night last year on my way back from a football match. I couldn't get a clear enough view of Canary Wharf with the traffic in the foreground to make a decent photo (and was also restricted by having to stand the camera on the railing as I had no tripod), but I think the traffic movement is a positive. What could have been a decent city shot is just rather messy:

I agree the lamp posts and pylons don't add to the image, they make it cluttered; the subject is good enough already!

I don't think that shot is too messy, but there is a lot of dead space to the left.

Here's a black and white version....
