Broken Camera HELP

OK so i was borrowing this camera its not even mine, i was just seeing what it was like for a while, and now its kinda broken...Basicly i took it out rideing on a cold day, no knocks or anything, and in a padded bag. The Lense which normally retracts back into the camera got stuck out and the camera couldent focas, everything was really blurry.

I got home, and in the warm it was fine

So.. i take it on another ride, very humid day, quite damp, the camera begins to go all blury and not focasing, the lens gets stuck out again. and when turned on the lights come up but thats all...dead.

I go home..and its still not got anything, fullcharged nothing happens and the lens is still stuck out..It wouldnt be so bad if its mine, but because its someone's else it makes it worse...

..What should i do

I think this is this yer vesion, the one i have is last year but its the same set-up/feature, just a diffrent body

I would just take the battery out and leave it somewhere warm and dry, near (not on!) a radiator/airing cupboard or similar for 24 hours, then stick the battery in and hope for the best? That's what I would try, my little camera broke some time ago, I accidentally roosted a load of dirt over it and the lens never went back in again Crying or Very sad

edit, forgot to say I would try and dry the camera and battery in the same way.

ok will try that... i will report back tommorw lol
thanks Roo

Like others have said try and dry the battery out.

Also, try your AC adaptor with camera and if it works OK it will eliminate one way or the other. Camera or Battery.

If drying doesn't work, you could also take it to your local camera shop and ask for advice or a repair price quote.

well that didnt work, still dead. i think i am going to take it to a local camera shop, or maybe write to samsung,
thanks for your help though!
