For those of you that weren't there and didn't watch the world champs on freecaster or bbc (you must be odd!) here are the results:

1st Sam Hill (surprise, surprise)
2nd Fabien Barel (0.63 of a second away from Hill)
3rd Gee Atherton
4th Greg Minaar
5th Pasqaul Canals Flix

Poor old Peaty ended up 67th....

Peaty was injured though - but probobly still got down the course faster than I could have.

I was gutted they were all in lycra, I can see why but it makes us look like a bunch of mincers. Especially as the BBCs filming didnt show the speed or the size of the jumps and drops well at all. Mad

Yeah I know. he also had a stack at some point - he suddenly appeared without a saddle! I felt sorry for Jared Graves as well - Missing out on both 4X and Downhill.

I didn't watch the BBC - i watched it on freecaster, but i was gutted about the lycra too. Bad image. Still i'm glad that it got some coverage.

my first hope for a winner was steve peat (how original!) and secondly Fabien Barel, so i was gutted that he only just missed out.

He stacked in both the 4X and the downhill. Blowing two chances of a medal! He looked proper p*ssed!

Did they show you the Kiwi who ripped the arse right out of his catsuit? He got a massive cheer when he got to the finish.

Shame that Sam Hill got his run when the weather was a lot kinder than Gee and Greg Minaar. It got a lot windier and rainy at the top and the visibilty was pretty poor for that load of riders. It was getting really dark, the forest sections must have been a nightmare, not to mention the motorway being a good bit slower. It could have been a lot more exciting if the conditions were more equal, but that's Scottish weather for you.
