So I dropped my kit lens, fell off a table onto a (barely) carpeted floor, had a quick look and it was fine, but tried some gear shots today and it was having trouble focusing, an example below.

As you can see the 70-200 L is in focus but the lens hood isn't and the 50 is horridly out of focus.

So is it time to replace?

Well it depends where you focussed as you didn't tell us.... but presuming it was the 50mm that you focussed on and not the perfectly in focus 70-200, then it looks like it's back focussing and would need repaired. I don't  know if it could be fixed under warranty or not - I suspect not. If you can get it sorted for free then go for it. If you need to pay then put the money towards a decent lens instead.

Took it to the shop and they said it was foo-barred so I'm going to order a new lens.

You never elaborated on the focal point. If you indeed focused on the 70-200, you are simply looking at not enough enough depth of field. What lens was it an what are you going to replace it with?

Twas the 18-55 and see market place on what I'm replacing it with.

The focus was on the 50mm.
