Sometimes you don't have your DSLR and have to make do with your mobile phone. Grr!!! My N95 is pish - horrendous JPEG compression artefacts and rubbish detail as a result.
Anyways... I took this opportunistic shot whilst over in Verbier for a couple of days skiing last weekend. The hills in the background are the Dents du Midi - the ones at the back of Avoriaz, for all of you who've biked at Portes du Soliel.
C&C appreciated as always.

Cheers
It's all about lighting. Even a crappy phone can take a decent shot if the lighting is okay.
But I did a tiny bit of curves and sharpening in photoshop to bring out a bit more contrast & detail.

I was on a mate's stag weekend. I didn't fancy lugging a DSLR about , especially seeing as I was drunk for the entire weekend. _________________ Hamish |

That's pretty crazy for a phone, eh!
Only things I could suggest are could you have maybe panned left a touch to get a bit more of the town in and get rid of that flatter, more level ridge in the mid ground? That, and maybe your colour balance is a tad too bluey - just little tiny nitpicks.
Really great shot, though! _________________ Flickr |
