To paraphrase JAW:
I think a fair few people have these random moments of inspiration for a shot. Sometimes it's an idea they've thought about and sometimes it just pops into your head. Often they turn out good or just plain creative.
Show off your creative juices and post your 'random inspiration' biking shots here.

A self timer of riding along a path back from the skate bowls. I know the shutter speed should have been slower to create more of a sense of speed, but other than that i'd welcome any comments! Which of the two do you prefer?

I prefer the sepia version myself. The lighting on the bars comes through and it looks a bit dreamier. It's certainly got potential as a shot - as you say using a slower shutter speed, and maybe a bit more central so that the sides of the path match symmetrically. Good work fella. _________________ Hamish |

Cheers, i agree. I'm thinking of submitting it for PotM this month. Maybe it might look better on an actual trail too. _________________

You'll probably win POTM if you submit it.
Of course, you're probably the only person who has actually taken a photo this month!!! _________________ Hamish |

Saw the lighting was good on these forks (whilst the sun was actually out the other day) so randomly decided to get a few shots of them. This one came out trumps (i haven't done any adjusting in photoshop):

Taken in a cafe last winter. Not strictly biking photography, but you know what I mean...

Three from me- the things that make me ride are:
1, A bit of maintenance stirs the soul (taken on a mobile phone today before a quick blast).
2, One of my Point Of View shots again with a mobile phone and a few attempts. (Taken February ish).
3, My first big ride last weekend in Wales (wet very wet!) after a long lay off due to illness. Can't do jumps or anything too daring due to surgery, there's nothing like not being able to ride to stir the emotions!
