Will reshoot and make better at some point. Any ideas? Pref. when it gets warmer. Standing out there reminds me of the days when we used to do P.E in our games skirts until our knees went blue. memories.

Given I always have honest opinions, here goes:
Less flash would be good. The rider looks a bit overexposed as does the concrete thing he's on, not to mention the reflection in the bottom left which is a bit annoying as well. I'd also like to see the effort (or lack of) on the rider's face as well. I always find there trials type pics with the arm in front of the face a little uninspiring, unless they're doing something ridiculously dangerous. Maybe a bit closer in, from a more front on angle would look good. I do like the people watching in the BG though. That's a nice touch.
I take it that was with the fisheye, then Nikki. I'm thinking if you set up on a tripod you could take the pic with the rider and then turn the flash off and take an exposure for the sky and blend in CS2. That would help improve things a tiny bit further, if you really want to make things impressive. You shouldn't really need to shoot handheld with the fisheye if you're setting up remote flashes and not panning. Just a suggestion.
And he really should be wearing a helmet _________________ Hamish |

my views (no offensive you better than me hehe)
i dont virtually ever like center composition, looks boring
doesnt look that sharp, though that may be compression or my eyes lol
sky blown out, not sure how to fix, maybe less exposure and fill in flash?
anyways, i love the shadow on roof lol _________________ Ride like you have insurance.

Adam - you're best to go for centre or close to centre with fisheyes or the distortion can get a bit too much. The challenge is to use the rest of the scene to compliment it. I agree about the lack of sharpness in the background. I think Nikki may have used f2.8 to try and get enough ambient light - flash wouldn't have been powerful enough to light the whole scene. There's no way of avoiding the blown sky in that type of scene without using multiple exposures. _________________ Hamish |

The two things that stand out for me is the arm over face, I prefer to see the riders face, secondly, I agree with Adam, I think it is a little central. I actually like distortion from fisheyes e.g. this pic
I think ambient exposure is spot on, and brighter and the sky will get worse, and darker and you will start to lose the light on the walls. Flash exposure maybe a little bright, but thats just picky, I like the shadow!
