Took the camera out yesterday to get some jump shots but there weren't any decent riders around. Figured I might as well take a shot anyway:

C&C appreciated as always.

I like the range of tones and the fact that you can clearly see that it's a trail. Might have been slightly improved if the foreground growth was a bit more prominent, but not sure.

It's always annoying when there's no riders to shoot!

I have to admit that the Gladiator bit went over my head for a while.

I can only guess that the wheat/grass stuff reminds you of the bit where Maximus is dying and dreams that he's walking up to meet his wife & kids whilst running his fingers through the grass.

Fields of glory- is that Aston Hill 4X?
Thats a lovely atmospheric pic- see if you can do it again with some riders on track, possibly in the background on the bend. It would make the pic.

It's one of the "freeride" trails at Glentress.

I've shot it before in colour with riders on the jump and it's difficult to get contrast against the trees, probably even more so in B&W. I was hoping to manage that but nobody there could do more than a dead sailor 1ft off the ground so I just took a trail shot instead.

Here's one from 3 years ago to show what I was hoping to repeat:

The trees do make a cool background in that shot.
