looks kinda like rob cole (guy that runs esher shore), is it him?

i like it, the composition between the trees is nice, nice and sharp rider, as you would expect from roo, lol, power lines are unfortunate, nice clicked turndown, rider slightly too bright (i dunno if it is too much flash or a sunny day lol

thats just me being picky cause i guess simply saying "awesome" dont help ya lol

props roo

Nice shot! I like the focus on the rider and the blurred, out of focus trees in the foreground. Might have looked better if the rider was wearing a lid though...

Wouldn't have made a difference to the picture.

It's not Rob Cole, the rider is a bit bright though but due to the sun, and as ever it was a compromise, a faster shutter would have given a darker foreground which I didn't want. Sad

No, quite right, but I always think it just looks more pro if the rider is wearing a lid. The photo is still great whether the rider is or isn't but its just an opinion.

It's a bit of a weak photo, though I like how you've gone all creative on our asses and use the trees to frame him. Not too keen on the yellowness of it, or maybe its this shit mac that i'm viewing it on. Those power lines (i think they are?) don't do anything for it either. Much love.

Agreed. It needs to start with the togs.. stop snapping them without lids!!
Its putting out a very bad message and can only have a negative effect.

Please ALL togs stop taking pics of riders with no lids.. Very Happy

Sorry, but I hate it, Roo. There's way to much loss of detail in the rider from the overexposure. I don't like the trees in the foreground either. It's a nice idea but they just take over the pic too much, especially top right. And I don't like the power lines either.

Just my 2 cents.

Technically great, well composed, perfectly timed but the only thing that spoils it for me is the burnout... It kinda detracts from the rider rather than enhances him, I'd have gone for the darker foreground option personally to give the emphasis back to the rider. Slight yellow cast?

Powerlines you can do nothing about, I always have that trouble too.

Unintentional, I wanted a picture with blue sky in, which meant that certain angle, I had my 50mm so that meant being quite a long way from the jump, and at this spot it means going into tree's and the spot I found was the clearest spot, all others had like 3/4 trees in the way Crying or Very sad .

I wish the ambient light on the rider was darker but without making the foreground dark too. I think the yellow is just slightly off colour temperature, combined with the orange dirt at milford and winter sunlight, it is a little too much.

Interesting mix of comments though.

As for helmets, I don't give a shit, it's the riders choice.
